Job Overview:
As the Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing process for all products and supplies needed for our salon. You will work closely with our suppliers to negotiate prices monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of all products. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for products and supplies
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely reordering to avoid any product shortages
- Create and maintain a budget for purchasing expenses
- Review and approve purchase orders and invoices
- Conduct regular market research to identify new products and suppliers that could benefit the salon
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement purchasing strategies
- Ensure all products and supplies meet quality standards and comply with company policies and regulations
- Train and supervise purchasing staff members
- Resolve any purchasing-related issues or discrepancies in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business supply chain management or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role preferably in the beauty industry
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
