Job Description Finance Manager.
Manage the strategic and tactical financial management of the Global In-house Center
(GIC) under the guidance of the Head of Finance.
Lead and take overall responsibility for the Finance function and directly oversee
responsibilities under
1) Financial accounting and reporting
2) Treasury and tax functions and
3) accounting operations (AP/GL/Payroll support) and related activities.
Partner closely with business stakeholders and leaders to accomplish strategic
goals of the entity. Collaborate with business stakeholders and leadership in
meeting the organizations strategy and overall agenda and ensure its smooth
functioning.
Works with Finance teams in the US to align initiatives and maximize
collaboration.
Builds and maintains networks and communities of interest outside the
organization and with country Finance contacts
Core responsibilities:
1) Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close per the
finance calendar in compliance with the applicable GAAP and other regulations.
2) Develop implement and ensure compliance with internal financial and
accounting policies and procedures. Responsible to maintain the Internal Financial
Control Framework as per The Companies Act requirements. Work closely with the
Internal Audit team and collaborate with them for all their requirements.
3) Oversees the legal and tax compliance:
i. Review local country tax filings and manage tax audits.
ii. Managing global transfer pricing policies and implications
to the local entity
iii. Conducting tax research and analysis to identify tax risks
and savings opportunities
iv. Developing strategies to ensure tax optimization for the
entity.
v. Identification and selection of third-party service
providers.
vi. Manage all the regulatory requirements taxes SEZ
FEMA labor compliances such as PF/PT etc. from a finance perspective.
4) Responsible for closing yearly financials preparation of financial statements and
managing the audit with the appointed auditor. Documents and maintains audit
processes and assigns resources to assist with audit requests as needed. Acts as a key
liaison with between the parent company and auditors.
5) Partners with systems teams to automate maintain and improve processes and
reporting deliverables in Oracle.
6) Helps define and establish policies and programs for the management of all
Finance related assets of the organization. Ensures that policies are aligned with overall
business and strategic requirements of the organization.
7) Exerts a sphere of influence across a broad-based network including interacting
and teaming with leaders stakeholders and sponsors on a regular basis as well as with
external clients like Banks Auditors Tax consultants. Manages their expectations
negotiates with and influences them to overcome any issues that arise.
8) People responsibilities:

coaches mentors and directs the work of direct reports mentoring finance
