We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Protection to join our engineering team.

Duties & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Protection to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design configuration testing and commissioning of protection systems for electrical power networks. This role involves working on transmission distribution and industrial power systems to ensure reliability safety and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design and review protection schemes for power systems including transmission and distribution networks.
Perform protection coordination studies fault analysis and relay settings calculations.
Configure and test protection relays and associated control systems.
Support commissioning and troubleshooting of protection systems on site.
Develop technical reports drawings and documentation.
Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards and safety regulations.
Collaborate with project teams clients and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Participate in maintenance and upgrades of existing protection systems.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience in power system protection or related field.
Knowledge of protection relays and systems from manufacturers such as Siemens Schneider Electric ABB or GE Grid Solutions.
Experience with power system analysis software (e.g. **ETAP DIgSILENT PowerFactory or SKM Power Tools).
Strong understanding of protection principles (overcurrent differential distance earth fault etc.).
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Good analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
