The role will assist with the coordination and provision of all Science Store operational services. Some of these services include operation of manned delivery point services distribution of deliveries received supply of scientific & technical goods to relevant clients assist with the provision and continued supply of TCL Store stock to clients and maintaining appropriate stock levels within the Store. The role will also assist arranging transportation of items between campuses and to external parties and support the University in appropriate storage of chemicals including chemical waste.
The Logistics Officer interacts with clients from a broad range of academic disciplines Corporate Services Finance staff and external suppliers of goods and services.

Essential Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications and have a minimum of two years experience in retail and/or warehousing.
- A forklift licence will be required as part of this role. If you do not hold a current forklift licence the University will assist you in gaining this.
- Current class C drivers licence (manual preferred)
To be successful within this role you will be a customer centric team member who is able to develop working relationships and partnerships with stakeholders. Your ability to prioritise tasks combined with your knowledge and ability to use computer software such as databases inventory management programs and standard software suites including but not limited to MS Office will be crucial to ensure your success in this role.
You will be an effective communicator who can work within a team environment. Under broad direction of the Stores Manager and team members you should be able to solve problems and achieve outcomes. Being a quick and proactive learner is essential in gaining an understanding of the various operational processes and being aware of the evolving requirements of a research-intensive organisation.
Experience in a retail and warehousing environment along with experience in or an understanding of working with hazardous chemicals and scientific consumables will be extremely beneficial for this role. Your flexibility and willingness to assist in the various tasks undertaken by the TCL department across a multi-campus operation is essential.

Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 3 range $64938 - $71784 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $75977 - $83987 per annum.
