As a HELOC Specialist I you will be responsible for ordering HELOC services preparing closing documents and validating proper processing procedures were followed and in accordance with Interra Credit Union policies and procedures as well as documenting all findings. Provides HELOC related support to internal team members in relation to file maintenance and instruction on how to correct errors. Maintains contact with HELOC originators during the underwriting and closing process until the loan is funded. Provides excellent internal team member contact primarily through phone contact and use of available technology. Maintains knowledge and training of product offerings and guidelines as well as maintaining strong working relationships with retail including product and processes.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
30% Order all services including appraisals title work (or equivalent) and flood certificates for all HELOC loans and ensures all services are received in a timely fashion. Verify and monitor loan application documents ensuring accuracy and compliance with credit union policies and all applicable laws and regulations. Validates services are monitored and uploaded into respective LOS system and that interested parties are aware services have been received. Prepares loan closing documents and books loans to Episys.
25% Validates loans are processed properly and closed in accordance with Interra Credit Union policies and procedures. Reviews work focusing upon excellence of deliverables and service to the business units. Ensures Interra Credit Union is in compliance with current and pending applicable rules laws and regulations. Confirms Regulation Z rights of rescission guidelines are met.
20% Demonstrates effective use of lending software including Episys Simplifile Miniter Robert Steele/METIC Meridian Link and imaging systems to include but not limited to registering recording updating releasing or terminating tracking information in these systems.
15% Ensures all necessary loan documentation is collected and properly signed and imaged into lending systems. Maintains documentation and produces effective communications regarding loan processing issues.
10% Knowledgeable of credit union philosophy history organizational standards policies and procedures.
