Job Summary

The Unemployment Claims Analyst is responsible for managing and processing U.S. unemployment insurance claims by coordinating with state agencies employers and thirdparty administrators such as Equifax. The role involves reviewing employee separation data from Workday responding to unemployment claim notices and ensuring compliance with federal and state unemployment regulations

Key Responsibilities

  • Review unemployment claim notices received from state agencies through Equifax systems.
  • Retrieve employee data such as termination reason employment dates and wage details from Workday.
  • Prepare and submit employer responses to unemployment claims within required deadlines.
  • Validate separation information (termination resignation layoff misconduct etc.) before responding to claims.
  • Coordinate with HR payroll and operations teams to gather accurate claim information.
  • Track claim status determinations and appeals through Equifax platforms.
  • Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with U.S. state unemployment insurance regulations.
  • Assist with unemployment hearings appeals and dispute management.
  • Monitor claim activity to help reduce employer unemployment tax liability.

Skills Required

  • Knowledge of U.S. unemployment insurance processes.
  • Experience working with Workday HR systems.
  • Familiarity with unemployment claim processing through Equifax platforms.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in HR Business Administration Finance or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience in HR operations payroll or unemployment claims management.
  • Understanding of employer response processes for U.S. unemployment claims.
