Xylem is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Master Data and Reporting Specialist to join our Finance Systems this role you will be responsible for overseeing the integrity accuracy and consistency of financial master data across systems and processes along with maintaining and creating Financial Statement views in SAP S4. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including finance IT and operations to implement and maintain data governance policies ensuring that financial data is consistent compliant and up to date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Governance: Develop implement and manage the financial master data governance framework ensuring that all financial data follows corporate standards policies and best practices.
- Data Quality Assurance: Continuously monitor and validate the quality of financial master data to ensure it is accurate complete and consistent across systems. Implement data cleansing and validation processes and conduct regular audits to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
- Data Integration: Work with IT and business teams to define and implement data integration strategies to ensure seamless data flow across financial systems ERP and other business applications.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that financial master data complies with regulatory requirements and industry standards mitigating risks related to data breaches or inaccuracies.
- Data Maintenance: Manage the creation modification and deletion of financial master data records in the SAP S4 ERP system ensuring proper validation and approval processes are followed.
- Data Continuity: Ensure other related business systems and tools align and stay in sync by engaging with other responsible teams utilizing tools such as ticketing systems to assign tasks.
- Tool Maintenance: Maintain data governance tool(s) leveraging power apps.
- Process Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to financial master data governance ensuring processes and systems remain efficient and effective.
- Training & Support: Provide training and support to business stakeholders on data governance policies standards tools and best practices.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain documentation on data governance policies procedures and data definitions providing regular reports to management on data quality and governance performance.
- Financial Statement Reporting: Create and maintain standard financial statement views inside SAP S4 to assist system users with ease of reporting and access to data.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Information Systems Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience:
- 5 years of experience in finance or data governance roles ideally within an enterprise finance environment.
- 5 years of experience in an ERP system preferably SAP S4
- Proven experience in financial data management governance and integration preferably within an ERP system (e.g. SAP Oracle).
