CIBCs Summer Internship Program is a dynamic 10-week experience (June through August) designed to complement your academic training and support your career aspirations. Centered around the core theme of Learn Connect Grow the program offers a comprehensive blend of opportunities to expand your skills and professional network.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role.Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.

This program will be approximately 10-12 weeks in duration and consist of a 40-hour work week Monday through Friday. There is flexibility to work from home but in-office attendance is highly encouraged.

Please detail any experience gained thus far through course work clubs and/or extracurriculars internships or similar job experiences.

As a Private Wealth Client Service intern you will:

Specific internship responsibilities are determined closer to the start date and depend on the needs of the hiring department. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Providing integral support for client service teams and special projects as assigned/requested
  • Running daily monthly and quarterly asset allocations and performance reports
  • Assisting in the production of client meeting books and portfolio reviews
  • Monitoring daily trade overdraft and distribution reports
  • Processing various money movement and cash requests
  • Coordinating quarterly correspondence and communications to clients maintenance
  • Resolving business issues using systems and data
  • Offering recommendations as to how to improve business processes and efficiencies
  • May perform additional projects upon request

Who You Are:

  • Current undergraduate student
  • Minimum GPA 3.0
  • Demonstrated interest in Finance Economics Management or related majors
  • Expected Graduation Date between December 2026 and June 2027
  • must also be authorized to work within the U.S.

  • Good judgment and professionalism in both work products and interactions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and Office applications; familiarity with either Bloomberg or FactSet is helpful

At CIBC we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected hourly rate of $25.00 per hour for the Massachusetts market based on experience qualifications and location of the position.
