Job Summary

Our ideal candidate has a resume rich in new car dealership service management experience with a proven track record of leading a service department to top performance in technician proficiency hours per repair order effective labor rate and most importantly in the hearts of customers and employee alike!They will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service department supervising staff activity ensuring an outstanding customer experience and achieving profitability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred but not required. A student of the business with a keen spirit of inquiry and a record of self-development in dealership operations is a must.
  • Strong leadership skills including but not limited to team building and holding people accountable.
  • Good communication skills written and oral and possesses problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in building processes and procedures that effectively resolves challenges and promotes the growth and profitability of the department.A track record of not living with the status quo with ongoing review and improvement of processes.
  • Mastery of DMS service applications (CDK is a big plus).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the day-to-day service staff an efficient work flow in the excellent customer service putting smiles on every customers face.
  • Maintain strong customer and staff relationships and resolve issues customer service standards high and make sure the workflows are efficient and customer friendly.
  • Manage the departments performance and achieve financial performance financial reports identify areas for improvement and make necessary changes to achieve key performance metrics.
  • Manage the training and development of team members ensuring all staff meet manufacturers requirements and hire as needed to achieve the departments staffing for disciplinary actions up to and including dismissals if necessary.
  • Manages the schedule for technicians advisors and all support staff.
  • Ensures compliancy with company policies BAR EPA and any local requirements.
  • Is the Safety Coordinator for the dealership and is the first point of contact for all matters related to safety.
  • Maintains all equipment machinery special tools and responsible for repair or replacement of equipment.
