About the Role:
The IT Manager will serve as a hands-on technology leader responsible for the design implementation and ongoing management of the organizations IT infrastructure and systems. This role will play a critical part in aligning technology with business objectives ensuring systems reliability and supporting operational efficiency across multiple business functions.
The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise strategic thinking and strong leadership skills to manage IT operations support internal teams and drive the adoption of innovative technologies that enhance productivity and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Hands-on Leadership
Lead the design development implementation and maintenance of IT systems including hardware software networks and data centers.
Technology Innovation
Identify and implement emerging technologies that improve operational efficiency reduce costs and enhance service delivery.
Problem Solving & Support
Provide end-user support across the organization by diagnosing and resolving complex IT issues ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.
Data-Driven Decision Making
Leverage data and analytics to generate insights that support strategic decision-making and business planning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with internal teams to understand operational needs and develop technology solutions that support business goals.
Vendor Management
Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers ensuring high-quality service delivery and value.
Team Leadership & Development
Recruit mentor and manage IT team members by setting clear expectations supporting professional development and fostering strong team performance.
Continuous Improvement
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize processes and increase efficiency.
Budget Management
Oversee the IT department budget while ensuring cost-effective technology investments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
- Masters degree in a related field preferred
- 8 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles preferably within the building materials construction supply or similar industries
- Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing complex IT systems
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure network security and data management
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for technology and staying current with industry trends
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ERP systems supply chain management software and CRM platforms
- Knowledge of emerging technologies such as IoT artificial intelligence and blockchain
- Professional certifications in IT management or security such as CISSP CISM or ITIL
