What is the role
The person in this role is responsible for aiding in the next generation Aerogen core technology product and process development. This will encompass new product development and evolution of the current portfolio within Aerogens fast-paced and highly regulated medical device development environment. This role is lab and office based with limited work in manufacturing areas. Some travel may be required.
What are the key responsibilities
Collaborate with engineering team to execute and support all stages of the product/process development process.
Conduct research and compile findings to aid in the development and improvement of product designs.
Assemble prototypes and develop evaluation approaches to assess product performance.
Conduct component assembly and end item evaluations to ensure all requirements and standards are assessed.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of product specifications technical drawings and documentation.
Use of cutting-edge equipment for the analysis and evaluation of material properties.
Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to maintain lab supplies and generate prototypes.
Assist in the creation and optimization of manufacturing processes and procedures.
Participate in cross-functional team meetings to provide technical feedback recommendations and solutions for product development challenges.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Creation maintenance and review of the Design History File and technical documentation required by Aerogens design control and manufacturing quality system.
Aid in the completion of calibration maintenance and troubleshooting of lab equipment.
Other tasks required by your supervisor.
What education and experience are required
Relevant experience in a Medical Device or science based industries is beneficial.
Minimum NFQ Level 6 or trade qualified.
What key skills will make you great at the role
Effective communication and collaboration skills that can be applied within project teams.
Methodical approach and strong organizational skills with the capability of adapting to change and reprioritizing activities.
Proficient in problem-solving with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical solutions.
Proficient in displaying data using Excel Minitab etc. and in the use of MS Office (Word Outlook etc.)
Good attention to detail and aptitude to accurately evaluate and document outcomes.
Practical experience in metrology including precision measurement techniques measurement system evaluation and data interpretation to support product development and process control.
Strong technical competency and understanding of product development processes including research design testing and manufacturing.
Experience with technical writing report writing and presentations.
Potential and mindset to continue to learn and develop skillset.
