Job Summary

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for managing critical administrative and operational tasks within the hazardous waste management process. This includes entering customer manifests and job data into the CORE management system preparing and sending manifests and labels scheduling waste loads processing invoicing creating purchase orders managing pricing quotes reviewing and submitting generator waste profiles and coordinating outgoing shipments. The role requires attention to detail strong organizational skills and collaboration with both customers and internal teams to ensure compliance and efficient waste handling.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Complete customer manifest entry into CORE customer/job management system for incoming loads to our Hazardous Waste Facilities

Prepare manifests and labels in CORE to be sent to our customers

Schedule all waste loads into Clean Earth or other facilities

Complete invoicing from CORE

Create Purchase Orders for all direct ship loads or supplies for our customers

Complete computer entry of all pricing quotes

Create and review generator waste profiles and submit for approval

Send all outgoing UPS packages to our customers


Qualifications :

Basic Required Qualifications:

High school diploma is required; bachelors degree is preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service or a related field.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel Access and Outlook.

Excellent organizational analytical and communication skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while thriving in a team-oriented environment.

Confident phone etiquette with proven experience handling calls professionally.

Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Active listening skills to understand and address customer needs effectively.

Must be able to regularly access and use general office equipment including phones computers cop-iers etc.

Must be able to work in a busy often distracting work environment that is generally climate controlled.

Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds unassisted on an occasional basis.

Must be able to sit for long periods of time.

Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Knowledge of RCRA DOT DEA and OSHA regulations are a plus.

Preferred knowledge of or familiarity with a related CRM system and practices
