A leading healthcare diagnostics organization is seeking a highly motivated technically proficient Key Account Manager with strong business acumen and consultative selling skills to oversee and grow business across Oregon Nevada and Idaho. This position is ideal for professionals with experience in clinical diagnostics and a strong understanding of hospital and healthcare networks including laboratories emergency departments clinics physician office labs and urgent care settings.
Position Overview
As the Key Account Manager you will drive territory growth expand market share and increase revenue across strategic accounts. You will serve as the primary commercial contact for customers helping organizations make faster smarter decisions that improve patient outcomes.
Using your technical expertise and relationship-building skills you will influence purchasing decisions identify new business opportunities strengthen customer loyalty and secure renewals.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers through proactive communication and strategic partnerships
- Conduct regular business reviews and resolve customer issues to improve satisfaction and retention
- Develop and execute territory and account growth strategies focused on revenue expansion and profitability
- Identify competitive threats and secure early renewals through collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Manage sales pipeline activity and maintain accurate forecasting through CRM tools
- Analyze account performance data to identify growth opportunities and operational improvements
- Lead contract negotiations pricing proposals bids and customer follow-up activities
- Support onboarding and implementation of new customers while creating retention strategies
- Partner with third-party distributors to maximize market penetration training and territory execution
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales marketing finance technical support and contracts teams
- Provide regular territory updates forecasts and market intelligence to leadership
- Protect and grow the existing customer base while achieving annual growth targets
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards company policies and operating procedures
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- 4 years of successful medical sales experience preferably in diagnostics or healthcare technology
- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows point-of-care environments and health system operations
- Ability to travel throughout the territory (approximately 35% overnight travel / 4 days per week in the field)
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Business Healthcare or Life Sciences
- Experience working with distributor networks or channel partners
- Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to interpret healthcare market data
- Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and negotiations
- Excellent communication skills with success in selling across multiple stakeholder levels
- Demonstrated planning execution and problem-solving capabilities
