Compensation
Local Candidates: Up to $2700/week (Based on Experience)
Travel Candidates: Up to $3024/week (Based on Experience)
Overtime: Paid after 40 hours per week
Holiday Rate: All-Inclusive Rate $5
Position Overview
A healthcare facility in Machias ME is seeking an experienced OB Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive patient care across Labor & Delivery Postpartum and Nursery units. The RN will deliver high-quality patient-centered care while ensuring safety and adherence to clinical standards.
The ideal candidate will be capable of independently managing obstetric patients while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care for antepartum intrapartum postpartum nursery and post-operative gynecology patients.
Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
Perform general and unit-specific clinical nursing skills independently.
Collaborate with physicians charge nurses and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
Educate patients and families regarding maternal care recovery and newborn care.
Maintain and manage unit supplies equipment and patient care resources.
Follow all Standards of Nursing Practice and facility policies.
Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with regulatory and organizational policies.
Support the mission vision and values of the healthcare organization.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License (State License Required)
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
At least 1 year of acute care RN experience
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic computer proficiency
Required Certifications
BLS Basic Life Support
ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support
NRP Neonatal Resuscitation Program
STABLE Certification
Additional Requirements
COVID-19 Vaccination required per state mandate
Must be available for holiday coverage if needed
