Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) will work primarily in the outpatient surgery setting at BMC/Crane providing skilled assistance during surgical procedures. The role involves a 40-hour work week with shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The RNFA will also float to the BMC main operating room as needed and participate in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities:

- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures in the outpatient surgery setting.
- Float to the BMC main operating room as needed.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the perioperative setting.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an RNFA.
- CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) certification.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Experience in a variety of surgical specialties.
Special Considerations:

- On-call responsibilities required.
- Must be able to float to BMC main OR when needed.
Scheduling:
- 40 hours per week.
- Day shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
- Shifts are determined by the needs of the department and the on-call rotation schedule.
