POSITION: Learning Partner - Supporting Student Success

Summary:
Under the direction of the System Principal the Student Success Learning Partner will implement and support Ministry of Education initiatives toward student achievement and collaboration with a team of learning partners the learning partner will work in alignment with the Directors Work Plan to support all students with an opportunity to realize success.

- Demonstrated experience in the creation of inclusive learning environments and in addressing achievement and opportunity gaps.
- A track record of implementing innovative approaches to build successful programs and pathways for students.
- Ability to support the UCDSBs vision for Student Success with a range of strategies to support Ministry expectations of graduation rates and timelines.
- Highly developed interpersonal and relational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team to plan for develop and implement professional learning experiences for educators across the UCDSB.
Responsibilities: - Supporting Principals in the wraparound implementation of the Ministry of Educations Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) (PPM 129 and PPM 132).
- Working collaboratively with students families school teams and various community partners to build responsive interventions for students who without the opportunity face extensive challenges obtaining their OSSD.
- Support innovative teaching practices enabled by the design process to more precisely engage and address the learning needs of all students.
- Facilitate the development of resources in the school board enhancing program and pathways across the district.
- Support Ministry of Education initiatives including but not limited to the Literacy FSL Early Learning Equity Indigenous Education Special EducationStudent Success Building the Workforce of Tomorrow Re-engagement Career-Life Planning Innovation Creativity and Entrepreneurship Apprenticeships.
- Co-plan and co-organize learning opportunities for students.
- Assist with coordinating support for students.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Ontario Teachers Certificate of Qualification.
- Secondary Qualifications in Co-operative Education (preferred).
- Secondary Qualifications in Guidance (preferred).
- Specialist Qualification in a secondary subject area is preferred.
- Member of the Ontario College of Teachers in good standing.
- Extensive experience implementing the Student Success initiatives and strategies to re-engage students.
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience.
Conditions:
- Salary grid plus travel allowance
- Term one school year 2026/2027 (at the end of the term returns to home school)
- Travel to various locations is required
