JOB TITLE: Structural & Payload Design Engineer 3

PAY RATE: $77.50/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

Assist in developing and documenting structural and payload system designs.
Support system and component testing to validate requirements.
Coordinate with suppliers to optimize designs and achieve program goals.
Support production floor during first-of or complex builds.
Assist in developing new design/analysis processes and tools to improve efficiency and quality.
Research emerging technologies to support future product concepts.
Develop maintain and modify designs using 3D CAD software.

Requirements:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
5 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (Bachelors 5 years Masters 3 years).
5 years of experience with 3D CAD modeling (Autodesk Inventor CATIA SOLIDWORKS Pro-E SketchUp 3DX or equivalent).
Experience working in cross-functional engineering and production teams.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

5 years in aerospace engineering and design release processes.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Working knowledge of standard business software (MS Office Suite).
Ability to meet project deadlines.
Familiarity with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent regulations.
