Job Summary

Key Result Areas	Supporting Actions
Licensing Management	Obtain and manage Advance and EPCG licenses ensuring compliance with all relevant DGFT and customs regulations. Track and fulfill export obligations associated with these licenses.
Compliance Monitoring	Ensure strict adherence to all DGFT customs and other regulatory guidelines including timely submission of documentation and reports. Keep updated with changes in regulations and ensure company processes align with the latest requirements.
Bond Management	Manage bonds secured against licenses including tracking reconciliation and ensuring timely cancellation post-fulfillment of obligations
Export Benefit Optimization	Evaluate and maximize the benefits available under various export-import incentive schemes such as EPCG and Advance Licensing
Government Liaison	Act as the primary point of contact with government agencies including DGFT and Customs handling all communications show-cause notices and consultative processes. Represent the company in discussions with government bodies to advocate for favorable policies and resolve any compliance issues
Stakeholder Coordination	Coordinate with internal teams (procurement finance logistics) and external stakeholders (suppliers customs brokers) to ensure smooth and compliant import-export operations
Audit and Documentation	Ensure timely completion of statutory and internal audits related to DGFT and customs compliance. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all licenses bonds and compliance activities
MIS Reporting	Develop and maintain Management Information Systems (MIS) for tracking license usage export obligations and compliance status. Provide regular reports to senior management on compliance status risks and opportunities
ERP System Development	Participate in the development and enhancement of ERP systems to streamline licensing compliance and bond management processes.
Risk Management	Identify potential risks related to non-compliance with licensing and customs regulations and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
Training and Development	Educate and train internal teams on the latest compliance requirements ensuring that all relevant departments are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
Performance Metrics	Regularly assess the effectiveness of compliance processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce risks. Making representations to help formulate policies on export incentives licenses by GOVT. Timely submission of relevant documents by coordinating with various Units / CHA to obtained EODC to avoid of payment of Duty along with Interest because of Non-Fulfilment of Export Obligation. Advance Licenses for Copper Business for saving customs duty Advance & EPCG License Utlisation MIS with monthly Control.
