About the Role
As a Science Teacher you will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 and potentially Key Stage 5 depending on your specialism. You will inspire pupils to develop scientific knowledge practical skills and analytical thinking fostering curiosity and a love of learning.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teaching practical experiments and investigations safely and effectively
Supporting pupils in developing scientific knowledge enquiry skills and problem-solving abilities
Assessing pupil progress and providing timely constructive feedback
Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities
Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development
Supporting extracurricular activities such as science clubs STEM projects and competitions
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in Science
Be confident delivering engaging and practical lessons
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
Be committed to supporting pupils academic progress and scientific curiosity
Work collaboratively within a department to deliver high-quality outcomes
