Our client is an education organisation focused on developing future artisans through world-class vocational learning. Theyre serious about quality student outcomes and building ethical industry professionals and theyre looking for an Innovation & Development (Curriculum Design) Manager to lead the design and delivery of their learning programmes.

What the job involves

  • Leading the design build and implementation of learning programmes and curriculum products

  • Ensuring technical content and soft skills are integrated into one cohesive apprenticeship journey

  • Designing new programmes that create meaningful transformative learning experiences

  • Staying on top of global trends in vocational education and artisan training to keep content current

  • Managing learning design projects end-to-end (scope timelines delivery quality)

  • Leading and mentoring a team of Learning Experience Designers setting standards coaching and building a culture of excellence

  • Owning quality assurance across all learning materials (accuracy engagement pedagogy)

  • Using feedback from facilitators and students to improve and iterate content

  • Supporting selection for new student intakes to align curriculum with student profiles

  • Partnering with campus/operations teams to ensure smooth delivery and strong learning outcomes

  • Sharing data-driven insights with leadership on student progress and curriculum effectiveness

What you need to be considered

  • Honours degree in Education Instructional Design or a related field

  • 35 years experience managing learning design projects (with clear evidence of delivery)

  • Proven experience leading and developing a small team

  • Strong knowledge of learning tech educational software and LMS platforms

  • Experience working in an education training or learning environment (this is essential)

  • Excellent writing and communication skills you can turn complex concepts into clear learning

  • A genuine passion for education developing people and the artisan sector

Bonus points if you

  • Have facilitation teaching or training experience

  • Love building systems and templates that make quality easier to scale

  • Enjoy combining creativity with rigour (beautiful learning experiences and solid pedagogy)
