This is a senior compliance officer role with leadership responsibilities reporting to the Head of Regulatory Compliance and Engagement. This role is expected to take hands-on approach working in close collaboration within the Compliance team and with all relevant stakeholders to provide compliance advisory with a focus on Insurance Act and its subsidiary legislation including all relevant Notices Circulars Guidelines and regulatory expectations. This role is also expected to engage with the regulators.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead oversee and guide a team of compliance officers to ensure regulatory compliance with the Insurance Act and its subsidiary legislation as well as all applicable regulatory requirements and expectations.
Ensure that all regulatory inquiries and matters are tracked and well addressed in a timely manner.
Develop and sustain a regulatory change management program compliance policies and procedures for the company.
Ensure adherence to global or regional regulatory compliance related matters
Advise stakeholders and address compliance issues through a hands-on approach and in close collaboration within the Compliance team and with all relevant stakeholders.
Support the Compliance function overall on business initiatives projects or any other task as required.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 15 years of compliance experience in an international FI with a strong track record and subject matter expertise in insurance hands-on experience leading teams and engaging regulators
A strategic forward-thinking dynamic energetic self-motivating and engaging leader with strong communication skills (written and verbal)
