Job Description:

Overview

This frontoffice role supports the pricing execution and risk management of repo transactions across government agency and credit collateral in Asia with a primary focus on Australia. The position works closely with Sales and Trading to deliver financing solutions to clients and to actively support revenue generation and balance sheet optimization.

The role involves direct engagement with both internal stakeholders and external clients contributing to client coverage idea generation and market development. As part of the regional Repo team the individual will collaborate closely with Asiabased Sales and the Global Repo Group to grow the franchise deepen client relationships and expand product penetration across the region. Core responsibilities include supporting client financing and refinancing activities funding of firm inventory and daily shortcovering requirements as well as contributing market colour pricing insights and trade ideas. The role also plays an active part in building external client relationships and enhancing frontoffice processes analytics and infrastructure to support business growth.

Skills & Requirements

• University degree preferably in Finance Mathematics or a Technology/Engineering discipline

• 35 years of experience in a frontoffice environment on a repo desk fixed income trading desk or closely related function (e.g. securities lending money markets treasury)

• Strong understanding of repo products collateral and balance sheet usage; experience managing balance sheet constraints is an advantage

• Ability to assess and manage interest rate and funding risk across multiple currencies and markets

• Proven communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong client and internal partnerships

• Commercial mindset with demonstrated initiative flexibility and a strong drive to support business development and revenue growth
