Job Summary
Job Summary
The Fitter is responsible for assembling installing maintaining and repairing mechanical parts
equipment and structures as per technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical components and equipment
Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
Perform drilling cutting grinding and fitting work
Install machinery parts and support fabrication work
Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical systems
Ensure proper alignment and fitting of parts
Use hand tools and power tools safely
Maintain workplace safety and cleanliness
Assist engineers and technicians during installation or maintenance
Inspect finished work to ensure quality standards
Required Skills
Knowledge of mechanical tools and equipment
Ability to read basic drawings
Measuring and fitting skills
Attention to detail
Safety awareness
Qualification
ITI Fitter / Mechanical Trade
Industrial experience preferred
Work Environment
Manufacturing unit / workshop / project site
