Job Summary
Job Description:
A Fitter Fresher in a Tower Manufacturing Company (such as telecom transmission or windmill tower manufacturing) is responsible for assembling fitting and aligning steel components based on technical drawings. They work under supervision to fabricate structural parts often working with mild steel (MS) and using cutting grinding and welding equipment.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assembly and Fitting:Assemble structural steel frameworks and components according to blue prints technical drawings and specifications.
- Metal Fabrication:Perform cutting grinding drilling tapping and shaping of metal parts using hand tools and power tools (e.g. grinders cutting torches).
- Alignment and Tack Welding:Align components for final welding and perform tack welding to hold parts in place.
- Blueprint Reading:Interpret engineering drawings and structural diagrams to determine exact specifications.
- Quality Inspection:Inspect fabricated parts for defects to ensure they meet quality standards (e.g. checking dimensions using calipers verniers).
- Safety Compliance:Adhere strictly to safety protocols including the use of PPE and maintain a clean organized work area (5S).
- Maintenance:Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education:ITI (Fitter/Fabrication/Turner/Machinist) is typically required.
- Technical Skills:Ability to read drawings knowledge of measuring tools (vernier callipers micrometers) and experience with welding/cutting tools.
- Physical Stamina:Ability to stand for long periods lift heavy components and work in high-elevation or confined spaces.
- Work Ethic:Disciplined accurate in following instructions and able to work in shifts (rotational/day/night).
Working Conditions:
- Full-time in-person often in a shop-floor or factory setting.
- Physically demanding requiring high safety awareness.

- ITI (Fitter/Fabrication):Essential.
- Experience:Fresher to 0-1 years.
- Other:Knowledge of MS and SS (Stainless Steel) components.
