Surgical Services Clinical Manager (OOSC)

Do I want this job The OOSC exclusively works with Des Moines Orthopaedic Surgeons P.C. (DMOS) surgeons. DMOS is the longest thriving private orthopaedic practice in the central Iowa area. OOSC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Surgical Services Clinical Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our orthopaedic ASC. This position is part of the Leadership team reporting and working directly with the OOSC administrator. As the Surgical Services Clinical Manager you will be responsible for managing the clinical staff ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements developing and implementing policies and procedures and overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the clinical staff including recruitment training and performance management.

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including HIPAA OSHA AAAHC and state and federal regulations.

• Work closely with physicians anesthesia providers and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Coordinate with other departments to ensure the efficient operation of the surgery center.

• Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with physicians supervisors and staff to develop and edit various templates within EMR.

• Develop revise implement and evaluate goals objectives policies and procedures.

• Coordinate with physician group on various projects to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.

• Be a superuser on EMR for physicians anesthesia providers and staff to come to with questions and issues.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of a Bachelor degree in nursing.

• Previous nursing/ASC/orthopaedic experience in the healthcare industry is required.

• Background in orthopaedics and/or worked in an ASC.

• Demonstrated record of building out efficient teams.

• Ability to be kind and curious learn and train from peers and leaders provide apply and accept feedback in a professional and courteous manner.

Compensation: The job salary is based on experience. The pay band starts at $91K annualized with negotiation room to compensate for previous experience in orthopaedics.
