Your future duties and responsibilities:

Job Title: Senior Axway-to-Apigee Migration Lead / Architect
Experience: 812 years
Role Summary
Own the end-to-end migration from Axway to Apigee X: discovery solution design policy parity strategy environment topology security alignment testing strategy cutover and decommissioning. Lead a squad of developers and partner with Security Network and Platform teams.
Key Responsibilities
.Define migration blueprint: capability matrix policy conversion patterns exceptions and modernization opportunities.
.Design Apigee org/env topology instances/regions VPC networking DNS routing and mTLS trust chains.
.Decide coexistence approach (proxying header-based routing canary/blue-green dual writes) and cutover/rollback plans.
.Lead security mapping: OAuth/OIDC providers token lifecycles key rotation JWKs/JWT HMAC KMS-backed KVMs.
.Establish CI/CD standards (linting bundle validation automated tests promotion gates); code quality gates and governance.
.Performance strategy: caching layers quotas global vs regional routing capacity testing and cost control.
.Drive data/analytics migration (dashboards custom metrics BigQuery pipelines).
.Stakeholder management; status reporting; risk/issue management; vendor coordination.
.Coach team; ensure documentation and runbooks are complete for operations handover.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Must-Have Skills
.Hands-on depth in Axway API Gateway and Apigee Hybrid/x/ Edge with proven migrations.
.Strong cloud networking (preferably Google Cloud): LB VPC private service connect DNS certs firewalls.
.Enterprise security: OAuth/OIDC mTLS certificate management WAF/DDoS alignment.
.Automation-first mindset; experience with apigee-maven-plugin apigeecli and policy linting.
.Program leadership: planning budgeting reporting risk management.
Nice-to-Have
.Parallel experience with MuleSoft/Kong/Azure API Management.
.Regulatory and compliance migrations (PCI/PII).
.Cost modeling and FinOps for Apigee X.
