Project Manager in Solar energy and storage systems FM

Mexens (formerly Technique Solaire) is an international independent solar power producer active in France Spain India and the Netherlands. Founded in 2008 the company employs over 230 people and has a strong track record in the development financing construction and operation of photovoltaic power plants.

Mexens has been operating in India through its subsidiary Technique Solaire India since 2015. The company currently owns and operates approximately 350 MW solar assets (operational under acquisition) with a target to reach 1.2 GW by 2030.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of solar PV and BESS projects across India. The position is based out of Delhi NCR with frequent visits to construction sites and reports directly to the Country Director India. You will collaborate closely with both the Indian and French project teams (Legal Finance Engineering Procurement).

This role is critical for ensuring the technical financial and administrative success of our projectsfrom tendering and contract negotiation through construction commissioning and final handover to operations.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Management

• Prepare EPC tender packages lead commercial and contractual negotiations.

• Secure Construction insurance

• Well-versed with the entire solar project lifecycle; Able to develop and manage budgets schedules and cost controls.

• Evaluate the project profitability with the help of existing project Financial Model and review different test cases

• Oversee progress of works ensuring adherence to timelines scope quality contractual and regulatory obligations.

• Conduct regular site inspections.

Technical & Administrative Coordination

• Review and ensure the quality of project deliverables.

• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including engineering teams contractors suppliers and consultants

• Manage relationships with grid operators and local authorities to address concerns maintain positive relationships and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations

• Certify contractual and administrative milestones.

Site Supervision

• Lead weekly and monthly coordination meetings with EPC contractors Owners Engineer HSE managers and other stakeholders.

Reporting & Handover

• Provide periodic progress reports to management.

• Manage the transfer of completed projects to the operations team.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Masters degree would be a plus.

• Professional certifications in project management tools would be an advantage.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications with high standards of presentation skills

• Knowledge & experience of managing projects for at least 5 years in the solar energy industry in India & have knowledge of various regulations/approvals pertaining to setting up of a solar project with added exposure to battery storage systems

Languages

Fluent in English and Hindi.

• Strong leadership and ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams

  • Expert / Proficient in using Planning tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project in preparing project plans and analyzing critical paths.
