About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Operations Manager to oversee and optimise our production
logistics and operational processes. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with a background in
manufacturing and fabrication ideally within aluminium or uPVC windows and doors and a proven ability to
manage teams streamline workflows and drive operational excellence.
You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality products are fabricated efficiently delivered on time and meet all
industry standards. You will also maintain a safe compliant and productive working environment while
supporting continuous growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Production Management:
Oversee daily operations of manufacturing facilities ensuring smooth production of aluminium and uPVC
windows doors sliding doors and bi-folding doors.
Continuously review policies procedures and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Monitor production output quality standards and lead times ensuring compliance with industry
regulations and certifications.
Manage stock levels materials and equipment to maintain consistent production and timely order
fulfilment.
Implement and maintain best practices for production planning resource allocation and operational
efficiency.
Team Leadership:
Lead motivate and develop production logistics and operational teams to achieve performance targets.
Provide coaching training and mentorship to staff to enhance skills productivity and workplace morale.
Promote a culture of accountability safety and continuous improvement across all departments.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Ensure all products meet stringent quality standards exceeding industry regulations and certifications.
Oversee testing and inspection procedures to maintain product reliability and durability.
Maintain adherence to health and safety regulations across all production and operational activities.
Logistics & Delivery Management:
Manage the scheduling and coordination of deliveries to clients across London and the Southeast region
including surrounding counties.
Optimise the use of the company fleet to ensure efficient and timely distribution of products.
Liaise with clients contractors and installers to ensure high levels of service and satisfaction.
Strategic & Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to enhance operational performance reduce costs and improve customer
satisfaction.
Monitor key operational metrics report on performance and implement corrective actions as required.
Collaborate with management to develop and execute strategic growth initiatives.
Key Requirements
Education & Experience:
Proven experience in an operations or production management role within manufacturing fabrication or
construction-related industries.
Knowledge of aluminium and uPVC fabrication processes glazing and window/door systems is highly
desirable.
Experience managing large teams and coordinating multi-site operations is preferred.
Technical & Analytical Skills:
Strong understanding of production workflows stock management and supply chain coordination.
Proficiency in using operational and manufacturing software.
Ability to analyse operational metrics and implement improvements effectively.
Leadership & Communication:
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with internal teams suppliers and clients.
Ability to foster a collaborative safety-focused and results-driven work environment.
