Job Summary
Job Description:
A Hyva Operator and Loader isresponsible for safely driving hydraulic tipper trucks (Hyva) and operating loading machinery (e.g. front-end loaders JCB) to transport materials like earth sand and aggregates at construction or mining sites. Key duties include material loading/unloading routine vehicle maintenance and adhering to strict safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Operation:Drive and operate Hyva tipper trucks and loaders (JCB/Wheel Loaders) to move raw materials to and from sites.
- Loading/Unloading:Efficiently load materials into the truck and manage hydraulic dumping mechanisms.
- Maintenance:Perform routine safety checks including checking oil fuel and tire pressure and perform minor repairs.
- Safety Compliance:Adhere to site road and safety regulations to prevent accidents ensuring safe navigation of heavy machinery.
- Coordination:Interpret hand/verbal signals from ground staff and work with project managers for smooth material handling.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- License:Valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) license is required.
- Experience:Previous experience operating heavy equipment like payloaders or tippers.
- Technical Skills:Knowledge of hydraulic systems and basic machine maintenance.
- Physical Ability:Ability to lift heavy items and perform manual labor.
