The Senior Data Platform Engineer designs andmaintainsscalable secure and high-performance data platforms supporting the NAS AI Ecosystem. The role enables enterprise data ingestion processing storage governance and analytics to support AI/ML workloads and advanced analytics initiatives.
Job Profile Responsibilities
Design and maintain enterprise-grade data platforms for structured and unstructured data
Build and optimize batch and streaming data ingestion pipelines
Develop and maintain data lakes warehouses and lakehouse architectures
Ensure data quality governance lineage and compliance
Optimize platform performance scalability and cost
Enable AI/ML feature stores and training datasets
Implement data security encryption and access controls
Automate workflows using Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD
Monitor platform performance and troubleshoot pipelines
Contribute to platform standards and documentation
Requirements & Qualifications
Strong experience in data engineering and platform development
Proficiencyin SQL and Python or Scala
Experience with Snowflake DatabricksBigQuery Redshift or Synapse
Experience with Airflow Azure Data Factory Kafka Spark orFivetran
Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT and distributed data processing
Experience with Azure AWS or GCP (Azure preferred)
Familiarity with Terraform ARM CloudFormation and Git
Preferred Requirements
Experience supporting AI/ML or analytics platforms
Knowledge of data governance and metadata tools
Experience with real-time or streamingarchitectures
Cloud or data platform certifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelors degree
