Azure DB Lead
Job requirements

- Azure AKS (Azure Kubernetes Services) Architecture Principle Design Azure - Migration Azure Administration (IaaS) Cassandra Cloud Migration Kafka Migration Design Migration Planning MongoDB
- Specialization:
- Database & Middleware Support: Senior Architect Applications & Platforms
- Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse on premises/ Azure transactional database environments such as Oracle SQL Server COSMOS MySQL PostgreSQL MongoDB Cassandra evaluate and plan migrations to Azure
- Develop/Enhance database PLSQL scripts/TSQL to migrate from source database to target database
- Identity workarounds for specific issues and corner scenarios observed during migration
- Develop test plan and testcases to demonstrate database readiness post migration
- Document detailed design and migration steps for continued migration from Dev to Prod.
- Other Requirements:
- Masters/ Bachelors degree in engineering preferred
- 15 years of experience in database design/ development/migration on Azure
- Hands-on experience on Oracle SQL Server COSMOS MySQL PostgreSQL MongoDB Cassandra
- Experience migrating Large databases 1TB in size across multiple database engines (e. g. PostgreSQL Oracle SQL Server MySQL MariaDB etc. )
- Experience with heterogenous database migrations
- Experience in performance optimization techniques
- High end Troubleshooting and Communication skills
- Scripting language (bash/Perl/python)
- Experience in Database Administration HA DR and Monitoring setup - backup/restore replication etc
