As a Custom Software Engineer your day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing coding and improving various components within systems or applications. You engage in collaborative environments that emphasize agile methodologies ensuring the delivery of scalable and efficient software that meets unique business requirements. Your role is dynamic requiring adaptability and continuous enhancement of software to support evolving project goals and client expectations. Roles & Responsibilities: Create standard fastener parts using CATIA V5/V6. Generate 2D manufacturing drawings with GD&T standards. Proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA and understanding of manufacturing processes. Fasteners selection on automotive systems BIW & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Dassault Systemes 3DExperience CATIA. Should have Sound Knowledge in BOFAT Part design Surface design Drafting Assembly design. Should have knowledge in body fastener design & sealant selection. Should have manufacturing knowledge and able to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Must have knowledge in ISO Standards. Design automation parametric designing Design table power copy etc. Good knowledge of material properties fastener applications. Knowledge in Enovia PLM. Should have knowledge on selection of stacking parts creating sport weld creating weld bead. Responsible for selecting appropriate sealant types based on application -to-Have Skills Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and practices. Experience in a global automotive OEM. Knowledge on FTA. Knowledge in welding process and type of weld. Good to have knowledge in EKL script for numbering. Knowledge in exporting the fastener report and cross verify with the 3D model and share with downstream. Additional Information: 1) B.E or M-Tech in Mechanical/Automotive/Aerospace Engineering / Electrical Engineering.2) 4 to 6 years of hands-on development experience on the Dassault Syst mes 3DEXPERIENCE platform.3) Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.4) Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.5) Prior exposure to manufacturing automotive aerospace or industrial equipment domains is a plus.6) This position is based at our Chennai office.
