POSITION

Our Client is a boutique Australian law firm providing a wide range of legal services with a focus on personalised clientcentred advice.


The firm has multiple offices across Queensland including in Toowong Albany Creek and Noosa / Tewantin. The practice provides legal assistance to a wide range of clients both locally interstate and internationally and specialises in assisting defence force personnel with private legal issues.


JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a proactive detail-oriented and experienced Conveyancing Assistant to support our conveyancing team. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills excellent communication and a passion for providing exceptional client service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Open and manage new conveyancing files in accordance with internal procedures

  • Accurately enter contract and matter details into the conveyancing system

  • Create and maintain PEXA workspaces for property transactions

  • Prepare and issue initial client correspondence and document packs

  • Process stamp duty assessments and lodgements through Queensland Revenue Office (QRO)

  • Prepare and reconcile settlement figures in readiness for settlement

  • Prepare and issue final letter packcorrespondence and settlement documentation to clients and where applicable body corporate managers



Requirements

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in conveyancing in Queensland (preferred but not essential)

  • Strong understanding of the conveyancing process and relevant legislation

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple files and meet deadlines

  • Professional courteous and client-focused attitude
