Electrical Estimator (AO-13853)

Out Client is an electrical and data solutions provider specializing in commercial and industrial systems. The company focuses on delivering reliable high-performance electrical services that support business operations and infrastructure.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to support the preparation of accurate and competitive project estimates for electrical and data works. This role is responsible for analysing plans specifications and project requirements to produce detailed costings that support successful tender submissions. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure estimates align with project scope timelines and client expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review drawings specifications and tender documents to define project scope
  

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates including labour materials equipment and subcontractor costs
  

• Perform accurate quantity take-offs for electrical and data installations
  

• Source obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor pricing
  

• Identify risks discrepancies variations and cost-saving opportunities
  

• Assist in the preparation and submission of tenders and proposals within deadlines
  

• Maintain and update estimating records cost databases and pricing schedules
  

• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project requirements
  

• Provide general administrative support related to estimating and tendering
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in electrical estimating within construction or contracting
  

• Strong understanding of electrical systems installations and industry standards
  

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  

• High attention to detail with strong analytical and numerical skills
  

• Proficiency in estimating and take-off software (e.g. Simpro Bluebeam PlanSwift Hedgeback)
  

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  

• Strong communication and organisational skills
  

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  

• Electrical trade background engineering qualification or relevant construction experience (preferred)
  

• Must have experience with Australian projects or standards in Data Electrical Estimating (Incl. HVAC)
