Rutgers University Correctional Health Care ( UCHC ) is seeking UCHC Mental Health Clinician II for the State Parole Board CSL located in Trenton NJ. The UCHC Mental Health Clinician II completes specialized psychological testing and assessment of clinical needs of adults sentenced to the Department of Corrections. Arrives at diagnoses with precision and accuracy by the end of psychological testing and the evaluation session. Develops treatment plans. Makes clinically based decisions regarding appropriateness for treatment as well as preferred treatment modality. Skilled in in providing group individual and family therapies Assesses and makes referrals for higher levels of care as appropriate. Recognizes the unique needs and behaviors of adult inmate/patients seniors and their families. Duties include: Plays a lead role for assigned key services or projects Conducts psychological testing and evaluations of referred adult inmates/patients from ages 18 and up As assigned provides individual group and family psychotherapy as clinically indicated to assigned inmates/patients. As assigned assumes overall case management responsibilities for assigned inmates/patients including coordination of treatment and liaison with community agencies as measured by supervisory observation and record review. Maintain appropriate inmate/patient records in a timely manner as mandated by UCHC policy.
