Job Summary

Job Title: Maintenance Technician II - US

Location: Raleigh NC 27615

Shift Timings: 2nd shift: 3:30p-11:30pm. Shift is Monday-Friday may be on rotating weekend schedule.

Note: Temp to perm. Perform general mechanical maintenance of facility and equipment in a timely and courteous manner.

Summary of Job:

Responsible for performing mechanical hydraulic pneumatic and electrical maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role includes troubleshooting and repairing equipment performing preventative maintenance maintaining facility infrastructure and ensuring manufacturing systems operate efficiently and safely.

Must-have/Required skills:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Training/certification in machine-specific and electronics fields.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in electrical component repair.
  • Ability to properly use rulers calipers micrometers and other measuring instruments.
  • Working knowledge of AC/DC motors.
  • Training in basic electric and mechanical safety.
  • Basic computer experience.
  • Knowledge of safe use of hand and small power tools.
  • Knowledge of blueprints and schematics.
  • Acute troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use independent judgment.
  • Ability to maintain good attendance.
  • Willingness to work overtime and be on-call as needed.
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice-to-have Skills:

  • Experience working in SOP and cGMP environments.
  • Experience maintaining printing presses folding machines or bindery equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC systems.
  • Experience with HVAC plumbing compressed air and facility systems.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance of manufacturing equipment such as printing presses and folding machines.
  • Repair and maintain facility systems including HVAC plumbing compressed air and humidification.
  • Perform minor building repairs including painting masonry wallboard ceiling tiles and woodwork.
  • Use measuring instruments such as rulers calipers and micrometers accurately.
  • Perform basic facility handiwork including replacing light bulbs filters plumbing fixtures and maintaining forklift batteries.
  • Prepare and operate machine tools such as grinders and drill presses to repair machine parts or fixtures.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and electronic problems.
  • Inspect and test fire alarms and pumps.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components including bindery equipment such as folder rollers transport belts bearings and drive motors.
  • Troubleshoot and repair PLCs.
  • Troubleshoot motors pumps compressors and other plant systems.
  • Check new and refurbished parts to ensure proper specifications.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities.
  • Perform machine modifications to improve production.
  • Build custom parts as needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Operate scissors.
  • Follow SOP and cGMP environment requirements.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.
