About the team
The Deal Desk & Contracting Analyst APAC supports the sales organization by managing deal reviews and approval process to ensure pricing discounting and commercial terms align with company policies and revenue goals.
This role combines core deal desk execution (quote validation approvals coordination deal structuring support) with contracting workflow support using approved templates/playbooks partnering with Sales Legal Revenue Operations and other stakeholders to enable efficient deal execution and reduce cycle time.
What you will do
- Develop strong working knowledge of Kinaxis licensing model pricing and commercial structures to support deal execution.
- Validate price quotes and ensure transactions align with established quote-to-cash policies and revenue goals.
- Provide guidance to Sales on deal structure discounting approval requirements and order processing during the negotiation cycle.
- Facilitate deal approvals by coordinating with Finance Legal and other stakeholders as needed; ensure complete and accurate approval documentation and timely turnaround.
- Support Order Forms contracting workflows by preparing contract packages and drafting reviewing and modifying standard commercial and legal terms using approved Order Form templates/playbooks and defined escalation rules to ensure accuracy compliance and alignment with organizational requirements.
- Escalate moderately complex non-standard or higher-risk terms to Commercial Legal per the playbook.
- Manage accounts and deal data in Salesforce and support CPQ process adherence and quoting accuracy.
- Drive best practices and enablement to increase sales effectiveness in the CPQ process; create and maintain supporting documentation and guidance for Sales teams.
- Follow established policies/standards while continuously identifying and proposing process improvements that enhance efficiency compliance and stakeholder experience.
- Support APAC commercial needs by providing clear timely deal guidance aligned with global policy and local operating norms partner effectively across time zones and with Japanese and English-speaking stakeholders.
What we are looking for
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years experience in deal desk / commercial operations supporting a globally distributed sales organization.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams including Sales Legal and Finance.
- Strong attention to detail accuracy organization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly adaptable; can pivot based on updated prioritization and business needs using sound judgment within defined procedures.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively in Japanese and English both verbally and in writing.
- Working knowledge of the quote-to-cash process (CPQ Booking Models Subscription Management Billing Operations Revenue Recognition).
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant tools.
- Experience with Salesforce and quoting tools (SF CPQ as an asset).
- Exposure to contract lifecycle workflows and digital execution tools familiarity with CLM and e-signature tooling is an asset (IronClad DocuSign ServiceNow).
- Experience with enterprise SaaS and complex deal structures.
