OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Program Manager Material Cost Differentiation the Packaging Sustainability and Project Research intern will provide support and gain learning opportunities across a variety of projects covering field and office-based research needs to support the Sustainable Packaging Research & Innovation team.
This position requires residency in Ontario.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the coordination of special projects including audits and field assessments at pre-conditioning facilities (recycling facilities).
- Assist with statistical data analysis and reporting.
- Support administrative activities related to packaging recyclability guidelines research and implementation.
- Support the creation ofcontent for the packaging recyclability guidelines.
- Conductmarketresearch to identify trends and opportunities to assist with strategic planning.
- Support ad hoc projects assigned by the Sustainable Packaging Research and Innovation team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Enrolled in a post-secondary degree program in Environmental Science Waste Management Circular Economy Packaging or Sustainability.
Experience
- Proficient inAdobe Suites Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong understanding ofwaste management recycling packaging
Knowledge/Competencies/Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Skills in data analysis are an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- A positive can-do attitude and a desire to work collaboratively with a variety of teams.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- All CM employees work 40 hours per week remotely from a home office environment.
- Portions of this work are expected to include field assessments at pre-conditioning facilities within Ontario.
- High work volume and fast paced start up environment.
PAY TRANSPARENCY
ExpectedCompensation:
- A salary of $14700 for the 4-month term.
- The salary listed complies with the Ontario Employment Standards Act and reflects working full-time hours.
