Project Overview
Court Technology Services (CTS) is executing a Cybersecurity Program to strengthen the security posture of Alberta Courts.
The program focuses on:
- Security architecture (risk-based)
- Vulnerability management
- Threat & Risk Assessments (TRA)
- Incident response readiness
- Cybersecurity governance and policies
Role Summary
The Senior Cybersecurity Project Manager will lead and deliver multiple cybersecurity initiatives end-to-end ensuring secure compliant and scalable solutions in a highly sensitive judicial environment.
Key Responsibilities (Concise)
- Lead end-to-end delivery of the CTS Cybersecurity Program and multiple concurrent initiatives
- Provide risk-based security architecture leadership across network cloud application identity and data domains
- Oversee key initiatives including IMSS onboarding vulnerability management TRA framework application security and architecture reviews
- Develop and implement incident response playbooks conduct simulations and enhance readiness
- Lead Threat Risk Assessments (TRA) and ensure alignment with NIST CSF and ISO 27001
- Advance cybersecurity policies standards and governance frameworks
- Collaborate with stakeholders (IT Legal Procurement Finance vendors leadership)
- Prepare executive briefings and reports translating technical risks into business impact
- Drive automation and AI opportunities in cybersecurity operations
- Ensure compliance with public-sector security privacy and regulatory requirements
Mandatory Requirements
Education & Certification
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in IT Computer Science Cybersecurity or related field
- Active cybersecurity certification (mandatory):
- CISSP / CISM / CISA / (ISC)² / GIAC / ISACA or equivalent
- CISSP / CISM / CISA / (ISC)² / GIAC / ISACA or equivalent
Experience
- 5 years in secure architecture design/review (network cloud application identity data)
- 3 years in incident response planning and playbooks
- 3 years performing Threat Risk Assessments (TRA)
- 5 years working with stakeholders across IT and business
- 5 years with security frameworks (NIST CSF ISO 27001)
- 5 years hands-on with enterprise security tools:
- Microsoft 365 E5 (Azure AD / Entra Defender Purview)
- SIEM vulnerability management tools
- Firewalls / IDS / IPS endpoint protection
- Microsoft 365 E5 (Azure AD / Entra Defender Purview)
- 810 years total IT/security experience with:
- At least 5 years in senior project/program leadership roles
- At least 5 years in senior project/program leadership roles
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Other Requirements
- Must agree to Enhanced Security Clearance (criminal credit check)
- Must be able to work 100% onsite in Edmonton Alberta

- Experience with:
- Cloud architecture and AI/ML integrations

Work Environment
