Position Overview:

An established peer-review and compliance organization is seeking a candidate with experience in billing and coding with a claims background for a Claims Specialist - Paralegal role. The position supports independent dispute resolutions through CMS (Center for Medicaid Services). Experience with multispecialty coding and billing is highly preferred.

Qualifications:

Job qualifications & certifications:

Paralegal certificate required
2 years of healthcare regulatory experience
Familiarity with CMS OIG and managed care rules

Skills:

Strong legal writing and research skills
Ability to handle confidential information
Excellent organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with legal research on healthcare regulations and payer rules
Draft documents for appeals disputes and regulatory responses
Prepare case files and maintain documentation
Support attorneys during investigations or audits
Track regulatory changes and prepare summaries
