At Point72 the Back Office Operations team is responsible for the daily reconciliation of all cash balances in Point72s accounting system to prime brokers on a T1 basis. The team is responsible for ensuring that all bookings trade and non-trade related activities are recorded accurately and addition this team is responsible for reference data maintenance and management.

What youll do

• Serve as thefounding hire and leaderof a newly established reconciliations and operational control function with full ownership torecruit develop and manage a team
• Design and implement ascalable operating modelto support aglobal fastpaced investment organization including coverage controls escalation paths and service-level standards.
• Own and oversee daily reconciliations;supervise issue investigation and resolution and ensure timely resolution of breaks.
• Establishperformance management frameworks including KPIs quality metrics and continuous improvement processes to measure team effectiveness and operational excellence.
• Partner closely withTechnologyto define requirements design test and deploy system enhancements; improve existing workflows; andbuild new processes to streamline and automate reconciliations.
• Work closely with prime brokers custodians administrators and other third parties to timely resolve breaks.
• Act as a senior escalation point for complex breaks working directly withcounterparties and internal stakeholdersto drive resolution.
• Identify prioritize and deliverautomation and straightthroughprocessing initiativesto improve efficiency scalability and control.
• Build strong partnerships across Trading Compliance Stock Loan Legal Risk Financial Reporting Tax Regulatory Reporting and Technologyto resolve issues and enhance endtoend operational outcomes.
• Embed astrong control mindset ensuring processes meet regulatory audit and internal risk management standards.

Whats required

• Bachelors degree in finance Business Mathematics or a related field(preferred)
• 15 years of Operations experiencewithin a hedge fund asset manager bank or fund administrator including demonstrated leadership and ownership of complex operational functions.
• Strong product knowledge acrossequities futures equity swaps FX derivatives and fixed income instruments.
• Proven experiencebuilding scaling and managing teams including hiring coaching and performance management.
• Advanced technical aptitude with the ability to partner effectively with Technology and drive system and process improvements.
• Exceptionalproblemsolving analytical and criticalthinking skills with the ability to operate with urgency and sound judgment.
• Strongtime management and prioritization skillsin a highvolume deadlinedriven environment.
• Highly detailoriented proactive and selfdirected with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Hands-on leader capable of operating at different organizational levels
• Excellentwritten verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
• Advanced proficiency inExcel and the MS Office Suite.
