We are seeking a highly experienced and strategically minded Senior Engineering Manager to lead large-scale high-performing engineering teams and drive the delivery of mission-critical software solutions. This role is ideal for a seasoned technology leader with deep technical expertise strong execution capabilities and a proven track record of managing complex engineering initiatives in fast-paced product-driven organizations.
As a Senior Engineering Manager you will be responsible for overseeing multiple teams and delivering scalable reliable and high-quality software products that align with organizational goals. You will collaborate cross-functionally with senior leaders in Product Architecture Quality Assurance DevOps Security and Program Management to drive the technical direction execution strategy and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Qualifications :
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field from a reputed institution.
Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in software engineering with at least 5 7 years in a senior engineering leadership capacity.
Demonstrated success in building and scaling high-performing engineering teams across geographies and time zones.
Extensive experience in building and managing enterprise applications using Java/J2EE or FrontEnd(JS/React) or DBMS technologies
In-depth technical knowledge of modern software architectures cloud-native platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and microservices-based systems.
Strong experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies and distributed team delivery models.
Excellent organizational people management and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to align technology initiatives to business outcomes.
Proven ability to manage budgets resource allocation and vendor partnerships (where applicable).
Experience in leading large-scale refactoring re-platforming or system modernization initiatives.
Familiarity with tools such as Jira Confluence GitLab/GitHub and other modern engineering toolchains.
Lead and manage multiple engineering teams (comprising 50 60 engineers) responsible for the design development and deployment of enterprise-grade software systems.
Develop and execute on strategic engineering initiatives that align with business priorities and long-term product vision.
Provide hands-on leadership in system architecture design reviews technical decision-making and troubleshooting of complex technical issues.
Partner with Product Management to define and deliver product roadmaps ensuring scope timelines and quality targets are met.
Champion engineering best practices including code quality security testing automation performance optimization and maintainability.
Attract hire mentor and retain top-tier engineering talent; foster a culture of high performance accountability inclusivity and continuous learning.
Establish and track meaningful KPIs OKRs and performance metrics across teams to measure engineering effectiveness delivery velocity and product quality.
Drive agile delivery methodologies improve estimation accuracy and ensure on-time execution across sprints releases and cross-team dependencies.
Proactively identify technical risks system bottlenecks and areas for architectural improvements; lead remediation and innovation efforts.
Represent Engineering in strategic planning forums executive reviews and technical steering committees.
Promote a DevOps culture and work closely with operations and security teams to ensure robust CI/CD pipelines observability and platform reliability.
