Job Summary
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to design develop and guide the implementation of scalable secure and high-performance technology solutions that align with business objectives. The role bridges business needs and technical execution ensuring architecture standards best practices and governance are followed.
Location: Colombo (Hybrid) / Type: Full-time (1-year contract)
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Define end-to-end solution architecture including application data integration and infrastructure components.
- Create architecture artifacts such as solution diagrams technical specifications and design documents.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies tools and frameworks aligned with enterprise standards.
- Ensure solutions meet performance scalability security and reliability requirements.
- Conduct architecture reviews risk assessments and design validations.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects product owners and delivery teams to ensure alignment with overall architecture strategy.
- Support estimation planning and roadmap development.
- Ensure compliance with governance regulatory and security standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- Typically 812 years of experience in software development system design or architecture roles.
- Proven experience designing complex enterprise solutions.
- Strong understanding of system integration patterns and distributed architectures.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure or GCP).
- Knowledge of APIs microservices event-driven architecture and modern application frameworks.
- Experience with architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g. TOGAF).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with DevOps practices CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of security architecture and best practices.
- Experience in data architecture and integration technologies.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models.
- Domain experience in relevant industry
