Job Summary
Required Qualifications
Required qualifications include a Ph.D. in the life sciences with an emphasis on genetics cell and/or molecular biology. All-but-dissertation ( ABD ) candidates will be considered but a Ph.D. must be completed by the start date. Candidates should display a desire to engage with students in a liberal arts setting including establishing a research program that is tractable to undergraduate students.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates that conduct biomedical or biotechnological research that would be tractable to Biology or Biochemistry & Molecular Biology majors would be preferred especially if their projects incorporate resources on campus including our confocal microscope. Candidates that display interest in interdisciplinary teaching would also be competitive.
