Assistant Manager Woree Tavern
Are you a hospitality pro who loves the energy of a busy tropical local The Woree Tavern is looking for a driven floor-focused Assistant Manager to join the leadership team at one of Cairns most iconic suburban hotels.
The Woree is a high-volume venue that never slows down. Whether its a packed house for the footy a massive bistro service or a busy night in our premier gaming room we are the heartbeat of the community. We are looking for a leader who is at home in the thick of the action someone who can command a floor mentor a team and keep the regulars coming back for more.
A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:
- Get to know the locals so well they think youre part of the crew
- Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly safely and with a great vibe
- Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
- Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
- Bring the energy the service and the smiles every single shift
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock kegs and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
About you:
- Youve been around the bar bistro or gaming room block and maybe already done some supervising
- Youve learned from great managers and now youre ready to step up
- Youve got the confidence pride and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
- Youve got a current RSA/RSG RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements
