Operations Manager - North America
We are looking for an Operations Manager to oversee and optimize Okanes operations in North America and who can deliver high-quality efficient project outcomes while fostering a positive and productive environment. If youarepassionate about developing teams rigorous quality assuranceand nurturing client relationships this role could be for you. This role is open to Okanes Saskatoon or Calgary offices.
Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence
Monitorand manageperformance metricsincludinghealth and safetyutilization budget and financialtargetsand projecton time/ on budget delivery.This role must understand project profitability labour multipliersandoverall operational efficiency metrics and have this data inform decision making and improvements.This role will supportand contributebillable work as.
Regional Team Development & Execution
Foster and develop Okanes North America Operations team creating a positive work environment that reflects Okanes culture and core values.This also includes supporting recruitmenttrainingand performance management of the operations team.The role will focus onimplementation of operational strategiesensurealignmentwith Okanes corporate goals andobjectives and supportgrowth initiatives in the sector.
Quality Management Oversight
Provide leadership and oversight to ensure robust quality control by implementing and monitoring processes so that all proposals and deliverables meet Okanes quality standards and client expectations.Uphold Okanes processes and procedures andmaintainadherence to all relevant regulations and industrystandardsincludingregionalprofessional authentication and validationrequirementsforengineersand scientists.
Client Relationship Management
Guideoperations personnel in cultivating andmaintainingstrong relationshipswith clientsindustry partners and stakeholders to ensureOkanesposition as a trusted advisor inintegrated mine planning andclosure.Contribute operationalexpertiseto proposal development and clientpresentations tosupport securing new work.
Cross Region Collaboration
Actively foster collaboration withinOkanesmulti-disciplinary teamsto ensure a cohesive operational approach globally. This collaboration is critical in upholding Okanes reputation for excellence and ensuring a unified service delivery for clients across all locations.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experiencein senior-level operational managementwithin the mining resources environmental or engineeringconsulting sectors.
- A degree or diploma in engineering geological or environmental sciences.
- Proventrack recordofmanagingKPIs project timelines and budgets technical quality assurance.
- Experiencein working cross-regionally in the sector is an asset.
