Start your career across Pacific Operations where businesspeopleand operations come together to support some of Rio Tintos most important assets. Roles may be based in Brisbane or at one of our operational sites across the Pacific.Werelooking forpenultimate or2ndor 3rdyear students studyingdegrees inBusiness Health and Safety Environment and related disciplineswho wantreal-lifeexposure to how a large complexorganisationoperates. Our InternProgram offersyou the chance to help shape Rio Tinto from within. The 12-week Summer Internship Program provides hands-on experience with the potential to secure a graduate position upon completion.

Active in the sector for more than 110 years today weoperatelarge-scale high-quality bauxite mines and alumina refineries and have the worlds most modern and competitive aluminium smelter portfolio.
Our Pacific Operations sites arelocatedalong the east coast of Australia at the tip of the Northern Territory and in New Zealands south. With more than 6000 employees weoperatea full value chain approachminingrefiningand smelting. Our portfolio includes four bauxite mines two refineries four smelters and one power station and is supported by technical expertslocatedin our Brisbane hub including a fully operational Operations Centre for our bauxite mines.
Eligibility
Intern Program penultimate year or students in 2nd or 3rd year
Have the right to work in Australia or New Zealand (citizens permanent residentsstudentor postgraduate work visa holders)
