FINANCIAL MANAGER /
SENIOR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT
Western Cape (Half Day & Remotely)

ROLE OVERVIEW

Drive end-to-end financial integrity for a dual-jurisdiction (SA & US) operation. You will own the numbers from transaction processing through to financial statement preparation.

Duties & Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Transaction Processing:Process more complex transactions including journals; accruals prepayments and WIP
Management:Review Junior Accountants work and provide guidance and coaching (including performance reviews).
Month-end:Own the month-end processing cycle.
Reporting:Draft annual IFRS financial statements (SA & US & Consolidated) & prepare monthly ARR/MRR management reports across companys software products.
Audit & Compliance:Lead SA/US financial audits; prepare working papers; manage SA VAT US sales taxes and international VAT.
Planning:Own Opex budgets (actual vs. planned); liaise with teams on variances; assist with annual financial planning.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience:5 years as a Senior Financial Accountant or equivalent.
Education:Accounting Degree Post-Graduate qualification.
Technical:Strong IFRS exposure and Financial Statement preparation
Systems:Proficiency in cloud systems. QuickBooks Online experience is highly advantageous.
Industry:Technology or software industry preferred (SaaS)
Strong financial accounting background
Agile and adaptive to a changing environment and enjoys new challenges
Great at working independently and being self-motivated
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and great at actively communicating
Competent in dealing with suppliers customers and external providers
Tech power user and actively interested in using software to automate processes

THE OFFER

Remuneration:Negotiable

Time:4-8 hours per day.
Flexibility:Fully remote.
