Financial Accountant Record to Record Tzaneen

Westfalia Fruit Estates situated in situated in Tzaneen has a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced Financial Accountant- Record to Record.

Purpose of the role:

To Contribute to making the Westfalia Africa Finance Team successful in a high performance and driven environment through providing high level proactive financial accounting and financial reporting services including general journals reconciliations internal controls and generating various reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monthly General journals as allocated by the accountant to be passed and reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
• Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and reconciling items are timeously followed up.
• Month end TB is submitted to Senior financial accountant and Financial Manager for review
• Meet month end procedures and deadlines
• Assist with various reports and information as directed by the senior accountants.
• Assist with fixed Asset Management ensuring that the fixed assets are duly agreed to the general ledger assets recorded are complete and can be verified
• Ensure intercompany confirmations are sent out and balanced monthly
• Monthly preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Other ad hoc requirements as and when requested by Senior staff

Education:

• Minimum of National Diploma in Financial Management or equivalent qualification

Experience:

• At least 2-3 years experience of working in an accounts department
• Experience with audits both internal and external
