Job Summary

A highly respected and academically ambitious independent school in Bedfordshire is seeking an exceptional Science Teacher to join its successful and well-established department from April.

This is a superb opportunity for a passionate Science specialist to teach in a setting where small class sizes excellent facilities and strong pastoral care create the ideal environment for high-quality teaching and learning.

The Role

The successful candidate will teach Science across KS3 & KS4 with strong KS5 provision available depending on subject specialism (Biology Chemistry or Physics). You will be responsible for delivering engaging challenging and well-structured lessons that promote curiosity analytical thinking and a deep understanding of scientific principles.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons aligned with an ambitious curriculum

  • Monitoring student progress and using data effectively to raise attainment

  • Providing detailed and constructive feedback to support academic development

  • Contributing to curriculum innovation and departmental improvement

  • Supporting students in preparation for GCSE and A-Level examinations

  • Participating in enrichment opportunities such as STEM clubs competitions and trips

You will join a collaborative and academically focused Science faculty committed to maintaining excellent outcomes.

  • Qualified Teacher with QTS (or equivalent)
